Vintage Cambridge Glass Rose Point 7 oz. Low Sherbet - Stem # 3106 - RareVintage Cambridge Glass Rose Point 7 oz. Low Sherbet - Stem # 3106 - Rare
Rose Point was first produced in 1934 and introduced to the trade in early 1935. It was an immediate success for the Cambridge Glass Company, and proved to be a staple item in the Cambridge Line, as it was produced until the plant was closed. The greatest part of the success of Rose Point must be accounted for by its beauty. The delicate etched floral vines surrounding an elaborate medallion were copied from a French lace, long popular to brides in America. The #3106 stem line was introduced into the Rose Point Line shortly after the #3500 Line in 1935. The #3106 stem line in Rose Point was short lived, however, and was discontinued before 1940. Not sure why this pattern was discontinued so fast with the 3106 Stem, but it is so clean and elegant that it would match well with newer China and Glass patterns.
This Glass stands 4 7/8" h x 4" w at the top rim. This glass is in very good used condition free of any chips or cracks and the only wear I see is a little scuff on the bottom of the glass. (See Picture 7) Perfect for any Cambridge Glass collector that is looking to add the Stem #3106 to their Rose Point collection. Will be packed very carefully to ensure a safe arrival to the new owner.
