Before the development of the HF-100 solution, many people used highly toxic and flammable grip activation solvents to regrip golf clubs.
Many alternative solvents emit fumes that can be absorbed through human skin and breathed in to harm the lungs. Storage and shipping of such volatile solvents can be both expensive and dangerous due to the risk of fire.

HF-100 is nonflammable, non-toxic, non-ozone depleting, low VOC blend of surfactants, emollients, isoparaffins, and water. It is completely ODC free and proper use can reduce VOC emission by up to 70% and has a slower evaporation rate that minimizes ventilation requirements.
